1 night Stay at Okhrey and 1 night at Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary.
Itinerary
Arrive at NJP Railway Station and start your journey to Okhrey. Enjoy the scenic drive through lush forests, mountain streams, and quaint villages. Check into a homestay or guesthouse in Okhrey. Relax and acclimatize to the high altitude. Take a short walk around the village, enjoy the serene surroundings, and experience the local culture.
After breakfast, drive to Hilley (10 km from Okhrey). Start your trek to Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary (4 km one-way, easy trail). Explore the colorful rhododendron blooms (best from March to May). Have lunch and spend time enjoying the panoramic views of Mt. Kanchenjunga.
Overnight Stay at Barsey Rhododendron Sanctuary.
After breakfast, check out, and begin your journey back to NJP Railway Station. Stop for scenic breaks or lunch en route. In the evening reach NJP and conclude your trip.
